As announced in our April 16 Newsflash for registered resellers: Due to the recent price increase by Verisign, we are forced to change our .com pricing. We managed to keep the .com price as low as $ 7.89 at the highest discount level.

DNS  .BE system release 5.12


The .BE production environment will be taken offline on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 for extensive maintenance. During maintenance hte new release 5.12 od the DNS will enrolled.

OT&E:  not  available throughout the day

Starting Monday 8th of February, we will migrate the name servers used for domains using our DNS templates to a new environment. As a part of this migration, the hostnames and ip addresses of these name servers will be changed. For domains using our DNS templates a change at the concerning registry will be made by us. You will not have to do anything. We anticipate on a one-week timeframe for this change.

This migration will not affect you or your clients in any way. The domains will be online and all of our interfaces will be online. It is however possible that you will receive a notification of the concerning registry about the change of name servers.

During and after the migration, the current name servers will be available for DNS requests. We will closely monitor the name servers and keep them online as long as DNS requests are sent. Only after no DNS requests are sent to the old name servers, we will retire them.

The current name servers are:

ns1.12register.com 85.158.203.80
ns2.12register.com 62.58.71.181

The new name servers will be:

ns1.yoursrs.com 93.94.226.68
ns2.yoursrs.com 93.89.80.133

• CNNIC, the official registry for .CN, announced that all oversea registrars will no longer be allowed to register .CN domains starting January 6, 2010.
  
  The registration stop is planned to be temporarily. According to the Chinese registry, difficulties in handling the comprehensive new application material are the reason for this drastic development. The new application material is required since the middle of December 2009 when CNNIC suddenly changed the registration policies.
  
  CNNIC has not specified a date at which the exclusion of oversea registrars from .CN registrations will be removed again. The registry has announced to further explore methodologies on how to verify the registration information with their oversea partners. As soon as a new mechanism is established, CNNIC will re-open the registration.
  
  We are therefore not able to accept and/or process new .CN applications. Existing .CN domains in our system can be renewed or deleted.
  
  We hope to be able to offer you .CN domains again soon.
  
•  The .JOBS domain is discontinued as well, because of the lack of demand for this domain and the changes at the registry. Existing .JOBS domains in our system can be renewed or deleted.
  
  

 At the last day of 2009 Realtime Register reached another milestone, by passing the 300.000 active domain names.
