10.30: At the moment there is a serious problem at the systems of the dutch .nl registry SIDN causing downtime to their registrationssystems and availability checks. The problems are currently investigated by SIDN. For the moment .nl registration and/or .nl availability check is not possible. We will inform you when the problem is resolved.
As of today, the .ME domain registration period has been changed from 2 years to 1 year, making this domain 50% cheaper to start with.
Previously registered .ME domains will keep the 2 year registration period, which was also paid for.
Despite a major price increase at COM NET ORG INFO domains (raised with 0,38 to 0,60 USD), 12Register will not change register prices for these domains (no sooner then 1/1/2009).
Make sure you register your COM NET ORG INFO domains with 12Register before 1/1/2009!
Starting saturday afternoon the 6th of September a quarantine period will be added at .NL.
Whenever a domain is deleted, it will go into a wait status for 3 days, in which a registrant can reactivate his domain easily. After that the domain will go into quarantine for 40 days. The domain will be offline and changes to the domain are not possible.
The costs for reactivating a domain from quarantine at 12Register are EUR 56,-*
The costs for transferring a domains with a quarantine status from another registrar to 12Register are EUR 104,-*

Today, we proudly present you our new look. We have improved our previous layout and website, after consulting various users and visitors and months of preparation. We hope that you will enjoy the new site layout, structure and functionality. Not only have we changed our looks, we have also introduced a new webinterface. All kinds of new features have been added and improved, such as search- and export functionality and bulk changes to domain names. Another new feature is the new account type, being the webuser. Webusers can sign up, order and pay for domain names instantly, without having to make a deposit. They simply pay for what they register. Our previous dealer accounts will now be called resellers. If webusers want to enjoy the extra advantages of a reseller, they can upgrade at any given time. The last big change is the introduction of the non-contract domain name types. Previously, resellers had to send in a contract to be able to register domain names at all. As of now, both webusers and resellers can start registering domain names instantly, as long as the domain name type does not require a contract. This can be seen in the domain info pages. Basically most of the generic domain names (g-tld's) don't require a contract, most of the country domain names (cc-tld's) do require a signed contract. The contract can be downloaded and returned to us, in order for you to be able to access all domain name types.
